The Rangers Look To Snap Six-Game Losing Streak

What once looked like a promising month of baseball for the Texas Rangers has turned into a stink fest. The Rangers started out the month of June winning 4 out of 5 series, but now they find themselves in a horrible 6-game losing streak.

What the heck is going on out there guys?

After losing the last two games in Chicago to the White Sox last week, the Rangers were swept by the A’s. and continued their losing ways against the Toronto Blue Jays yesterday. The final score of the slaughtering was 12-2. If the Rangers lose today, they will have gone a full week without a win.

Now the slumping Rangers are tied with the Angels for the 2nd spot in the division and are 5 games back of the Houston Astros.

PANIC TIME?

Haha not even close. Major League Baseball has such a long season and we’re not even at the All-Star break yet. The Rangers have plenty of time to regain their form but it starts today against the Blue Jays.

WHOSE ON THE MOUND TODAY?

For the Rangers it’s Mr. Yovani Gallardo, aka the man that hasn’t allowed a run in 15 straight innings.

For the Blue Jays it’s rookie pitcher Matt Boyd. Today will be his debut in the majors.

INJURY UPDATE:

Outfielders Josh Hamilton and Delino DeShields could be back in action as early as this Monday. They will be rehabbing in Round Rock this weekend and are expected to rejoin the team shortly after.

FUN TIDBITS:

Prince Fielder hit his 300th home run yesterday in the loss to the Blue Jays.

Yea.. That just happened..

& Edwin Encarnacion is only 32 years old. For some reason I thought he was at least 40. Seems like that guy has been playing forever.
