Miracle Mavs Do It Again!

Outside of the great #MavsNation, no one believed the Mavericks would be in the position that they’re in. With only the finale Game 7 remaining, the Mavericks can knock off the best regular season team and defending Western Conference champion San Antonio Spurs.

The Mavericks went out and took Game 6, winning 113-111 tying the series at 3 games a piece. The Spurs gave it their best flop (literally) (http://espn.go.com/blog/dallas/mavericks/post/_/id/4701915/video-spurs-exhibit-the-art-of-the-flop) but in the end the Mavs just made plays while the Spurs were just a little too late with their effort.

The Mavericks got a huge lift in the second half from their budding Superstar Monta Ellis. He scored 22 of his 29 points in the second half and 12 of those in the final five minutes of the game.

The win was extremely impressive against the best finishing team in basketball. The Spurs had only lost one game all year when having the lead in the fourth quarter. This was their second.

Dirk added 22 points as he has come alive offensively in the last two games.

Dejuan Blair had an emotional and vengeful return. He had 10 points, 14 rebounds, and 4 steals against his former team. He played so well that Brandon Wright didn’t log a single minute in this game.

At the beginning of the series we discussed how the bench would be a key part of this series. Last night, the Mavs bench outscored the Spurs bench 37-25. Manu Ginobli the Spurs go to man off the bench was 1-8 and only had 6 points.

Will the Mavs do it? Only one game remains. The epic Game 7. It doesn’t get any better than this in sports in my opinion. Win and move on. Or lose and your season is over.

Game 7 will be Sunday @ 2:30 CT on ABC.
